U.S. Communities, the national cooperative purchasing program for state and local governments, recently introduced more purchasing options for cities and towns in Massachusetts, including a partnership with Amazon Business.

To date, more than 55,000 public agencies around the country are purchasing products and services through the aggregated purchasing program.

The program has been vetted by Massachusetts officials and is in compliance with the state’s Chapter 30B purchasing laws, meaning there is no need to duplicate the procurement process.

The program is co-sponsored by the National League of Cities, the U.S. Conference of Mayors, and other local government-focused entities. The MMA, like many other state municipal associations around the country, is a U.S. Communities state sponsor.

U.S. Communities offers a number of webinars and on-demand videos providing information specifically for municipalities. For details, visit www.uscommunities.org/news-events.
