The National League of Cities is holding two webinars this week to help municipalities navigate new federal grant compliance requirements, and to help communities meet the upcoming obligation deadline for federal funds received through the American Rescue Plan Act.
Grants guidance
“Updated Uniform Grants Guidance Explained for Local Officials,” on Tuesday, Aug. 13, from 1 to 2 p.m., will explore a recent update from the Office of Management and Budget for its uniform guidance — a new set of rules governing most federal grantmaking to local governments, intended to streamline the process for grant recipients.

SLFRF obligation deadline
In “Preparing Your Community for ARPA SLFRF Obligation Deadline,” on Wednesday, Aug. 14, from 3 to 4 p.m., a representative from the U.S. Department of the Treasury will provide updates on the $350 billion State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds program. Local leaders can learn more about available resources and share experiences obligating their SLFRF funds.
