Bolton Town Administrator Marie Sobalvarro, left, and Maynard Select Board Chair Jeffrey Swanberg chat during the MMA Legislative Breakfast Meeting on Oct. 18 in Maynard.
Registration is now open for the MMA’s spring series of Legislative Breakfast Meetings, which will be held on March 7 and 14.
Each year, the MMA hosts a series of meetings in communities across the Commonwealth to give local leaders, legislators and MMA staff the opportunity to network in an informal setting and learn about and discuss issues of importance at the local and state level.
MMA Legislative staff will discuss the legislative session that kicked-off in January, and proposals that will have significant implications for cities and towns. Topics will include the fiscal 2026 state budget and many early priorities, such as the re-filed Municipal Empowerment Act, remote meeting allowances, Chapter 90 funding, the MMA’s Legislative Package for the 2025-2026 session, and much more.
City and town officials from every community are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to discuss issues of importance with MMA staff and legislators.
A light breakfast and coffee will be provided at 8:30 a.m., followed by presentations and Q&A. The meetings will end by 10:15 a.m.
Meetings will be held on the following Fridays and locations:
March 7: Dalton and Marlborough
March 14: Amesbury and Fall River
Meeting location details will be available here soon. Members are asked to register online.
Meetings are free to attend.
