Mass Save has announced a new grant to help municipalities offset the cost of hiring a municipal energy manager.

The dedicated role of municipal energy manager is intended to help municipalities to manage their energy use, become more energy efficient, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from facilities, with a particular focus on K-12 school buildings.

The Municipal Energy Manager Grant is offered by Eversource and National Grid. The grant supplements the salary of a new or existing municipal employee identified to serve as the municipal energy manager in communities that do not yet have a full-time energy or sustainability manager.

Mass Save is hosting the following two webinars to cover grant program details and the application process:
• Nov. 12, 10-11 a.m. (register)
• Nov. 20, 4-5 p.m. (register)

Registrants will receive the link in a follow-up communication. The webinars will be recorded.

The following office hours are also available to answer questions:
• Nov. 21, 9-10 a.m. (register)
• Nov. 22, noon-1 p.m. (register)
