The town of Shirley is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Treasurer/Tax Collector. The purpose of this position is to provide professional, operational, and administrative duties associated with the Treasurer and Tax Collectors Office. The Treasurer/Tax Collector serves as custodian of the assets of the town with specific focus as custodian of general fund cash, stabilization funds, trust funds, enterprise funds, and investments. This position performs the collection of all taxes due to the town and all other related work required. The Treasurer/Collector is responsible for maintaining and improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under their direction and control.
