The town of Sandwich is seeking a Town Treasurer/Collector who works under the general supervision of the Finance Director. Position provides supervisory, administrative, technical, and professional management work in directing, coordinating, monitoring, and controlling the municipal treasury and tax collection operations in conformity with applicable state and federal laws. Position serves as custodian of all town monies, issues all debt, and oversees all tax title accounts and tax possessions. Maintains, issues and oversees employee payroll and associated records, and all other employer and benefit programs. Strong financial background as well as excellent communication and customer service skills required. The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or related field with three years professional finance and supervisory experience required, or an equivalent combination. Municipal experience strongly preferred. Must be able to be bonded. Excellent benefit package and a starting salary of $100,000-$110,000 commensurate with experience.
