Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
Position performs complex planning, administrative and supervisory work; generalist planning functions related to land use, housing, climate, economic development and transportation; authoring zoning bylaw changes; reviewing development proposals for Planning Board; seeks and prepares grant applications; serves on various town committees; and communicates with the general public on planning, zoning and development issues. Bachelor’s in urban planning, public administration or related field and three to five years’ experience in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in municipal planning. Master’s and certification by AICP preferred.
