Ashburnham (6,784 pop.), an inviting small town in Worcester County, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Town Administrator. Candidates should excel in project management, financial management, communication, collaboration, grant application and administration, and have previous municipal supervisory experience.
Ashburnham is led by a three-member Select Board, has an Open Town Meeting form of governance, an A1 rating, and a FY25 budget of approximately $20 million. Preferred candidates should have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), preferably in public administration, business administration, management, or a related field, and experience as a Town Administrator, Assistant Town Administrator, or head of a large department in a complex municipal organization, or professional equivalent.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive compensation package, including health benefits and retirement and an annual salary of $140K + commensurate with experience and qualifications.
