The town of Tyngsborough seeks qualified applicants for the position of Skilled Laborer/Mechanic in the Department of Public Works. Under general supervision of the Senior Foreman, the Highway Skilled Laborer/Mechanic operates highway department vehicles and equipment, performs construction and maintenance activities that include, but are not limited to, roads, parks, beaches, drainage, sidewalks and snow removal. The Skilled Laborer/Mechanic will also be responsible for the maintenance and repair of DPW vehicles and equipment.
This is a full-time (40 hour/week) benefit-eligible position. The position is covered by the SEIU Local 888 Highway Union. Anticipated salary range for this Grade 5 position will be Step 1-3 ($28.72 – $30.01) in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
