Come join our dynamic team! The city of Newton is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Senior Preservation Planner. The purpose of this Senior Preservation Planner position within the Department of Planning and Development is to review and analyze development proposals. Conducts site visits and meet with applicants in order to provide initial analysis and review of applications for commission members. Ensures that all applications are complete and accurate. Provides technical staff support to historic district commissions including, but not limited to, project analysis, studies, reports, and research. Oversees scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and meeting legal requirements for notification. This is full-time, hiring salary range: $68,508.00 – $72,679.00 annually plus yearly step increases, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to be a part of our team of dedicated public servants.
