Come join our dynamic team! The city of Newton is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Senior Financial Analyst. The purpose of this Senior Financial Analyst position within the Department of Financial Services is to be responsible for projects, within the city, including building financial models for the Health Insurance Trust Fund, and assisting with administrative duties, such as accounts payable, payroll, etc., as needed. The Senior Financial Assistant will have a critical role in the creation, analysis, and maintenance of the annual operating and project budgets, as well as the citywide capital improvement plan and long-range financial forecast. The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Manager of Financial Planning. Incumbent should possess the ability to complete assignments on time with minimal supervision and adapt to changing work priorities to meet the dynamic needs of the city of Newton. Incumbent completes work in accordance with established departmental and city policies, standards, and expectations. This is full-time, hiring salary range: $74,969 – $85,673 annually plus yearly step increases, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to be a part of our team of dedicated public servants.
