DPW Business Manager

The Town of Westford (24,700 pop.) is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of DPW Business Manager on a part-time basis (18 hours per week). This non-benefited position works under the direction of the DPW Director and performs highly responsible, professional, and confidential administrative work relating to the Department of Public Works. Westford is a full-service municipality that is led by a five member Select Board and Town Manager with an Open Town Meeting form of government. The residents have come to expect exceptional public services from their elected and appointed officials.

Westford has a municipal water service that captures about 75% of the town residences and businesses. We also have a full-service Department of Public Works including cemetery, engineering, highway, parks and grounds, and stormwater management.

The DPW Business Manager will work with the DPW Director and other leadership to perform financial analysis and rate forecasts for our Water and Stormwater utilities and developing analysis and recommendations for financial functions.

Must be proficient in MS Office including, Excel, and web-based software. Starting salary range $49.25 – $69.10/hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Resumes will be reviewed as they are received with preference given to early applicants. Position will remain open until filled.
