The towns of Dover and Sherborn are in search of a Public Health Nurse that will be shared between the two towns. This newly created position will report to the Dover Health Director and Sherborn’s Board of Health Administrator. This is a 40 hour per week position and the incumbent will work 25 hours per week in Dover and 15 hours per week in Sherborn.

The Public Health Nurse is responsible for promoting and protecting the health and wellbeing of all individuals within the towns of Dover and Sherborn. This position is responsible for performing highly responsible nursing functions including public health promotion, health assessments, prevention of the spread of communicable disease, health maintenance, public health education, and emergency planning.

Full Job Description

The incumbent must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program for registered nurses, preferably with a Bachelor of Science degree. Possession of current licensure as an RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, maintenance of required continuing education units in accordance with Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. Current certification in BLS, CPR, AED, valid MA driver’s license and access to an automobile. One to three years of experience in a healthcare setting required.
