The current starting salary for FY24 is $83,076.13, and after a six-month probation period it is $85,204.18. Sergeants who have a college degree in criminal justice or a similar discipline will receive additional educational incentive pay (10% associate, 20% bachelor’s, 25% master’s), holiday pay (108 hours of overtime pay), and shift differential (7% evening and midnight shift). The town is in negotiations with the union for the FY25 to FY27 bargaining agreement.
