Payroll Administrator
The town of Dartmouth is seeking a full-time Payroll Administrator for 40 hours per week. This position requires responsible, skilled bookkeeping and administrative work of more than ordinary difficulty in processing payroll and financial transactions, in maintaining financial records and accounts, and in supporting the operations of a department; performs varied and responsible duties in processing financial transactions requiring the use of the Financial Management Software system and other software applications; requires a thorough knowledge of accounting principles, the town’s financial procedures and of a sophisticated database application; will require a broad knowledge of office operations and the exercise of judgment in addressing internal and external customers; all other related work as required.
Qualifications include an associate’s degree in business, accounting, computer science or related field required. Three to five years of experience in payroll, accounts payable or related field; experience with financial management system software preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
The salary range for this position is $25.14 – $32.85 per hour.
