Part-Time Assistant City Solicitor

Seeking Assistant City Solicitor to:

• Represent & advise the city & its elected/appointed officials, employees, City Council, boards & commissions;
• Handle a variety of legal matters including cases/claims through all stages of litigation & adjudicatory proceedings;
• Represent the city in cases/claims/appeals;
• Appear at conferences, hearings, pre-trial/trial conferences, depositions, & oral arguments;
• Appear on behalf of the Legal department for evening meetings & hearings of the City Council, boards & commissions as needed

Qualified candidate must have a JD degree, be in good standing of the Massachusetts Bar, admitted to practice before Massachusetts state & federal courts.
