The town of West Boylston is seeking qualified candidates for the fractional-time position of Outreach Worker for the Council on Aging department. The Outreach Worker focuses on the senior population of West Boylston promoting awareness of services, activities, resources and programs available to them. Advocacy includes information, referral, and assistance with public benefits. Requires a thorough knowledge of senior issues and resources. Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations relative to older adults.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field with one or more years’ experience as a social worker, or case manager working with seniors or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver’s license required.
Position is 15 hours/week, with starting hourly wage of $20.04 (Grade D).
