Bellingham (17,000 pop.), is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and talented Human Resource Director; the position is open for the first time in 25 years. The selected individual will direct and administer town policies, compensation, benefits and leave administration, disciplinary matters, dispute resolution, investigations, grievance proceedings, worker’s compensation/OJI agent, harassment grievance officer and assists with collective bargaining. The Director has an assistant and together will ensure legal compliance with state, federal and local policies and procedures while providing employee onboarding, ensure collective bargaining obligations and adhere to and provide employee contract administration. The Director reports to the Town Administrator. Candidates should have considerable experience in the human resources profession, preferably municipal experience. The salary range is $100,000 to $130,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
