Highway Department Working Foreman

The town of Hardwick is seeking qualified applicants to fill the full-time Highway Department Working Foreman position for the Hardwick Highway Department. The Working Foreman provides direct in-field supervision of employees working on all phases of construction, maintenance, repair operations, and performs all other related work as required. The Working Foreman is responsible for maintain and improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under his/her control as delegated by the Highway Superintendent. Work week is Monday-Thursday. Salary is DOQ.

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of experience in highway/roadway maintenance and construction, including heavy equipment operation and field supervision. Applicants must possess a valid CDL Class B license with airbrake endorsement (CDL Class A license is preferred) and a valid Massachusetts hoisting engineer license Class 2A. The town of Hardwick will pay for licenses under the town’s certification policy.
