Health Agent

The town of Deerfield is accepting applications for a Board of Health Agent. Under direction of the Board of Health, position performs code enforcement activities for food service, wells, septic; coordinates response to health emergencies; budget administration; and other health-related oversight. Excellent communication skills, a valid driver’s license, licenses/certifications (or be able to attain); ability to acquire credentials (many via online training) as Title 5 soil evaluator, Title 5 system inspector, certified food protection manager certificate, Mass. PHIT housing, Mass. PHIT food, certified pool operator within 18 months or so of hire. Full-time, 35 hour/week, with some nights and weekends required.
