GIS/IT Specialist

The town of Ipswich seeks qualified candidates for the full-time, benefited position of GIS/IT Specialist.

• The GIS Specialist (part-time) is responsible to work independently and cooperatively in the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of the town’s geographic information systems (GIS) and related databases. Responsible for coordination and oversight of various departmental GIS initiatives and ensure system compatibility and continuity. Works courteously and professionally and exercises sound judgment in the administration of their duties.
• The IT Specialist (part-time) responds to level one and level one calls and supports the technology needs of Town users by maintaining workstations, Laptops, network devices, peripherals, VoIP phones and telecommunications. They must be a self-starter and a problem-solver and will respond to staff queries directly via the IT ticketing system, e-mails, phone and onsite. They should have solid knowledge of Windows-based platforms and applications. Any experience with Backup/recovery, Website maintenance (Editing / creating web pages), MUNIS administration or O365 are a plus. Must possess excellent customer services skills and strong work ethic.

Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 DOQ
