Fleet and Facilities Operations Supervisor

The town of Wayland seeks qualified candidate for the Fleet and Facilities Operations Supervisor. Responsible for operations of town garage, scheduling work and supervising mechanics on major and minor repairs and installations required for vehicles, heavy and light equipment, machinery, facilities and mechanical components owned by the town. This position maintains and schedules regular maintenance on all DPW motor vehicles, heavy and light equipment, facilities and machinery.

Ideal candidate will have knowledge of principles of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems on motor vehicles, light equipment and heavy equipment and strong diagnostic, maintenance and repair skills. Must have high school or technical school diploma. Minimum of seven years experience in operation, maintenance & repair of motor vehicles/ light & heavy equipment. Must have Class B CDL with airbrake and tanker endorsements. Must have hoisting license, certificate in welding and training in automotive repair. ASE certification preferred.
