The town of Littleton is seeking qualified applicants for a full time 40 hour/week, benefit eligible Equipment Operator position in the Department of Public Works, Parks division. The schedule is four 10-hour days/week (Monday-Thursday). This position performs routine work assisting in all Public Works construction, maintenance and repair projects with a focus on the Parks division. Ability to operate riding mowers, snow plows, power and hand tools is required. Snow and ice, irrigation system maintenance and field layout/painting experience a plus. Stipends include CDL, hydraulics, winter stand by and clothing per the union contract.

Successful candidates will have a valid driver’s license or CDL class B, hoisting license (or ability to obtain within 12 months) and pesticide applicators (preferred). This position will be subject to a pre-employment physical and drug screening, and a thorough background check.

The starting pay rate is $23.38 – $28.12/hour, commensurate with applicable licenses and experience. This is a non-exempt position governed by the AFSCM E Local 1703 contract.
