Job Title: Director of Assessing
Location: Towns of Hamilton and Wenham
Salary Range: $98,124.62 – $102,085.78, DOQ

Position Overview:
The Director of Assessing oversees property valuation and assessment for around 5,000 parcels in Hamilton and Wenham. Responsibilities include managing the assessment process, supervising staff, maintaining CAMA system data, and ensuring compliance with Massachusetts Department of Revenue requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee property assessment operations and staff supervision.
• Prepare required tax rate, property value, and exemption reports.
• Manage GIS mapping, property tax maps, and data accuracy.
• Conduct property appraisals and represent the town at tax board hearings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in business, finance, or related field preferred.
• Five or more years of property appraisal experience.
• Valid driver’s license and MAAO designation.
