The town of Wayland seeks motivated candidates to join the Wayland Police Department as a Co-Response Clinician/Social Worker. The Co-Response Clinician accompanies first-responding officers and public safety employees to call out situations involving mental health/substance use calls for assistance. Ideal candidates will have experience with case management for mental health and substance use/opioid use disorders (SUD/OUD), as well as providing therapeutic services to Wayland residents, when appropriate. Therapeutic services may include individual, family and group therapy, case management, crisis intervention, treatment planning and assessment, trauma-informed care, SUD/OUD assessment and referral. Must have a master’s degree in social work or related field and at least two years of crisis management experience. OUD and/or SUD experience preferred. LICSW, LCSW or LMHC preferred. Must have valid driver’s license and access to own vehicle. Full salary range: $68,473 – $89,342 annually. This is a full-time non-union position and eligible for benefits.
