Building Inspector

The city of Chelsea is seeking a qualified Building Inspector to perform enforcement of Massachusetts building code and local zoning ordinances. Conduct inspections of new and existing construction for conformance with applicable laws. Examine and may approve plans and specifications for new building and for repairs and alterations of existing buildings. Perform all duties required to inspect and permit construction work. Issue permits for installation, alteration, repair and construction. Investigate complaints of violations and record findings.
