Are you the dynamic, qualified self-starter we are looking for to serve as our next Assistant Treasurer/Collector? Maynard’s Assistant Treasurer/Collector performs supervisory and complex technical and clerical work assisting our Treasurer/Collector in the management of town funds, tax collections and utility bills, issuance/funding of all checks including processing payroll/deductions, and day-to-day supervision of Treasurer/Collector’s office staff.
Knowledge of municipal procedures and related laws, cash handling/controls, strong communication skills, and strong computer/software skills (spreadsheets, financial). Harpers payroll experience preferred. Degree in accounting or related field as well as four years in municipal government finance or related financial field or equivalent combination of education and experience to fulfill essential job functions.
