The town of Bourne, an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer, has an opening for full-time Assistant Town Clerk. The Assistant Town Clerk is responsible for assisting the elected Town Clerk in the administration and supervision of department functions. Work includes keeping official records, issuing licenses, certifications and official documents, providing information regarding town departments, assisting and attend elections and Town Meeting proceedings, and serving as Town Clerk during absences. The use of various technologies such as electronic poll pad systems, image cast tabulators, election equipment and the associated software is required for this position.
Qualifications and Education
Associate’s degree or equivalent, and three years of office experience; municipal experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Full/Part Time & Hours
This is a full time 37.5 hours per week position. Additional hours during elections are likely.
Salary
Starting range: $75,387 – $78,819
Salary Notes
This is a benefited position with dental, health, PTO and retirement.
