The town of Bedford seeks a full-time Assistant Town Clerk to assist the Town Clerk in all operations of the office, including vital records, licenses and permits, and election related activities, as well as assisting the Archivist in the management of municipal records.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, knowledge of relevant Massachusetts General Laws, and competence with the Microsoft Office suite. The candidate must be a team player, highly organized, and possess excellent customer service skills.
Education/experience: bachelor’s degree in a related field and one to three years of experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong preference will be given for previous relevant municipal experience.
The starting salary range for this position is $82,713.61 to $95,122.81. This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays, though work outside of those hours will be required at times.
