Municipal HR Directors are spending an incredible amount of time recruiting and hiring for a variety of positions. What are best practices for hiring a solid senior management team?
Marc Wey, Managing Partner at Leadership Management International, will discuss how to successfully pull together a strong senior management team that performs well and works well together. He’ll address some of the current challenges, focusing on ways town managers and HR directors can support each other as they work to cultivate stronger relationships with the other members of the senior management team.
The meeting will begin with a discussion of Harvard professor Robert Waldinger’s TED talk: What Makes a Good Life? Lessons from the Longest Study on Happiness. East Bridgewater Town Administrator Charlie Seelig and Southborough Assistant Town Administrator Vanessa Hale will lead this member-driven session.
The MMA is advising in-person meeting attendees to keep up with the latest COVID vaccines for which they are eligible. We highly recommend that attendees take an at-home rapid antigen test prior to attending, and not attend if they have any COVID symptoms or if a household member has tested positive for COVID. These protocols are subject to change based on the latest public health data and guidance.
