The Massachusetts Municipal Lawyers Association and the MMA are co-sponsoring a webinar on March 13 to discuss best practices for zoning proposals under the MBTA Communities Act.
Representatives from the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities and the Attorney General’s Municipal Law Unit will share what they have learned from their preliminary review of proposed local zoning amendments, and how what they’ve learned may be helpful to communities in their compliance efforts.
This session is a follow-up to the Feb. 26 MMA webinar on MBTA Communities Compliance. This webinar is meant for chief municipal officials and relevant staff (e.g., municipal counsel and planners).
Presenters will include:
• Chris Kluchman, director, Community Services Division, Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities
• Margaret Hurley, director, Municipal Law Unit, Office of the Attorney General
• Attorney Amy Kwesell of KP Law
The session will be moderated by MMLA Executive Board Member Susan Murphy of Dain Torpy, and MMLA Executive Director/Secretary-Treasurer Jim Lampke of Lampke & Lampke, who is also town counsel in Hull.
The webinar will run from noon to 1:30 p.m. Registration is available online.
Registrants will receive a Zoom meeting link and a link to program materials on or about the date of the program.
