On Oct. 26, the Attorney General’s Office will convene a virtual meeting for municipal, school and community leaders across Massachusetts titled “Addressing Hate in Our Communities.”
The Attorney General’s Office along with partners at Lawyers for Civil Rights, the Anti-Defamation League, NAACP Boston Branch, and the Greater Boston Legal Services’ Asian Outreach Unit will share information about the rise in hate incidents, how to recognize and respond to hate incidents and hate crimes, and resources available to victims and communities.
The event will feature remarks by Attorney General Maura Healey, a panel discussion with local civil rights leaders on the rise in hate and extremism, and information and resources to inform community-based responses.
The event is hosted by the Attorney General’s Office, Lawyers for Civil Rights, the Anti-Defamation League, NAACP Boston Branch, and the Greater Boston Legal Services’ Asian Outreach Unit.
Municipal, school and community leaders may invite any interested staff in their offices.
The Zoom webinar will run from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Attendees are asked to RSVP online.
