The MMA welcomes you to the new, upgraded version of www.mma.org, which is now easier than ever to use and features some new content areas for the local officials of Massachusetts.

A new Resource Library features a wealth of helpful documents on topics such as municipal finance, forms of government, the open meeting and public records laws, Proposition 2 1/2, “smart growth,” and energy.

Another new feature, Community Corner, gathers news items about local innovations and programs. Headlines from Around Mass., which is updated daily, features links to community news items in local newspapers.

The new navigation system features “drop down” menus so visitors can go deeper into the site directly from the home page – or any other page. The navigation system has been streamlined in an effort to make it more intuitive.

The new Municipal Marketplace is a listing of companies, organized by category, that work with Massachusetts municipalities.

The new home page also lists the three most recent topics addressed in the new members-only discussion forum, Member Exchange. Those who already have a member login from the previous version of the MMA Web site will be able to use the same user name and password on the new site.

An RSS feed option allows users to subscribe to MMA headlines, so they can be notified when new stories are posted.

The Web site continues to feature the latest news developments affecting cities and towns in Massachusetts, details about the MMA’s advocacy efforts, and information about MMA member group meetings.

Other popular features include municipal job listings, a comprehensive city and town Web site listing, free access to the State House News Service, information about the MMA’s MunEnergy program, and convenient online contact forms.

Feel free to use the Contact MMA Webmaster link below to provide any feedback about the new site.
