Join Our Team at the Upton Community Center
The town of Upton is seeking to fill the full-time Elder and Social Services Department Specialist position. This position reports to the Director of Elder and Social Services at the new state-of-the-art Upton Community Center. This is a public-facing role that has a direct impact on the lives of seniors and residents in need.
The Department Specialist is responsible for a variety of skilled administrative, technical, and financial tasks to support the daily operations of the Senior Center and other departmental initiatives. Work includes clerical and record-keeping duties, such as accounting, billing, payroll, tracking donations, and data entry. Receive visitors, answer inquiries, schedule & coordinate activities such as transportation, programs, and other department services. Maintain calendars of programs and facility use, office supplies, and inventory. Maintain MySeniorCenter software and assist seniors with daily needs.
The minimum qualifications include an associate’s degree, preferably in business coursework, and 6–18 months of related experience in office administration or an equivalent combination. Proven aptitude with Microsoft-related programs is required—full Salary Range: $21.90-$30.00/hour.
