The town of Rutland is seeking to hire a qualified professional to serve as the Interim Town Administrator until a permanent Town Administrator is chosen by the Select Board.

Responsible for day-to-day operations of town government; administration of town policies and procedures set by the Select Board; assists town officials with legal issues; attends Town Meeting and all Select Board meetings; grant administration; contract administration; preparation of annual and special Town Meeting warrants and motions; budget preparation for accounts under the Select Board’s authority and administration of property and liability insurance policies. Also serves as Chief Procurement Officer and Personnel Director.

The position is expected to last three to six months while a permanent hire is sought.
