Full-time – (35 hours per week)
Under the direction of the Town Clerk, the Assistant Town Clerk will provide supervisory, administrative, and clerical support to assist in managing official municipal functions. Key responsibilities include maintaining vital records, conducting elections, managing the Town Census, posting meetings, updating the town website, and providing information to the public and town departments.
In the absence of the Town Clerk, the Assistant Town Clerk assumes all duties and responsibilities of the position, with the same authority, obligations, and legal accountability. The Assistant Town Clerk is also responsible for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of assigned functions and performing complex and highly responsible tasks in compliance with state statutes and town bylaws.
This position requires frequent interaction with the public and other municipal departments, demanding professionalism, attention to detail, and a high level of customer service.
Hourly Rate of pay: $30.79 to $39.89
