The town of West Boylston is seeking qualified and energetic candidates for the position of Council on Aging Director. The Council on Aging Director is responsible for providing advocacy and support systems to senior citizens by working with them to help maintain and improve their independence and quality of life.
Duties include: Organize and direct all municipal activities and services pertaining to the senior citizen population of West Boylston, community outreach, administrative and clerical support, bookkeeping and public relations, supervision of van drivers, nutrition aids, and elder community service volunteers. Knowledge of Massachusetts Elder Services and all related laws and regulations. Practical knowledge of town government, and the mandates affecting senior services in local government. Strong computer skills, particularly as it relates to Council on Aging systems. Excellent communication skills, grant writing and fundraising skills, strong supervisory and mentoring skills.
Qualifications: College/professional degree in related fields, and/or equivalent experience in the field, strong computer proficiency, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The salary range is $57,000 to $65,000 to commensurate with qualifications and experience; Full-time, 35-hour per week, exempt, benefit-eligible position.
