Town of Whitman seeks qualified applicants for the position of Town Accountant. Reports to Town Administrator and five member Select Board. Position requires a thorough understanding of the Uniform Municipal Accounting System (UMAS), Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB), Massachusetts General Laws and Department of Revenue (DOR) requirements. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, two plus years of experience in accounting or financial management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
