The MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (Massachusetts) is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Director of Fleet Maintenance. This position is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of vehicle maintenance, including management and scheduling of fleet maintenance staff and outside vendors, and coordination of vehicle maintenance of MWRTA community nonprofits and Council on Aging entities that use vehicles under agreement with the MWRTA. The position is also responsible for fleet performance and efficiency, managing and coordinating maintenance and repair, and ensuring safety regulations compliance. Ideal candidates will have excellent leadership and communication skills and a deep understanding of fleet management principles. The MWRTA serves 16-member communities and is governed by an Advisory Board.
Applicants should have at least seven years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administration, and/or managerial experience in business administration, business management or apprentice administration, the major duties of which involved vehicle program management, fleet administration, and transportation program coordination, with at least three years in a supervisory capacity. Possession of a current and valid Massachusetts CDL, Class B Motor Vehicle Operator’s license and Department of Public Safety engineering license with a minimum 2B hoisting license or ability to obtain within six months of hire. Starting annual salary: $115,000-$125,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience, with a competitive and attractive benefits package. EOE/ADA/AA.
