The city of Fitchburg is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the position of Airport Manager Under the direction of the Airport Commission and the Mayor, the Municipal Airport Manager oversees the administration, operations, and maintenance of the municipal airport. This position ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a safe, efficient, and well-maintained aviation environment. Key responsibilities include managing airport services, fuel operations, maintenance, and the SRE/Admin Building, as well as developing capital improvement plans and annual budgets. The Manager will coordinate with governmental agencies, airlines, and the local community to promote airport development and public recognition of the airport’s importance to the community’s economic growth and quality of life. The ideal candidate will have an FAA Private Pilot License, however, a bachelor’s degree in aviation management may be considered in lieu of FAA Private Pilot License.
