The town of Natick is seeking to fill the full-time position of Director of Public Works. This non-union management position will report to the Executive Director of Public Works and Facilities. The Director of Public Works develops and oversees programs to ensure proper stewardship of the Public Works department and public infrastructure. Supervises department staff and ensures safe and efficient operations. Develops cost effective opportunities to leverage department assets
Responsibilities include:
Qualifications for this position are:
-Minimum of seven years of experience of which three years were in a supervisory position.
-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering, business or a related field, or equivalent job experience.
-Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
-Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO) desirable.
-Valid Massachusetts driver’s license required.
-Extensive knowledge of public works construction and maintenance principles, practices and techniques.

The town of Natick offers a generous benefit package in addition to competitive salary. Grade 5 classification pay plan, hiring range $120,000-$135,000, is commensurate with education and experience.
