Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
This is a full-time, 35 hrs/week, fully benefited position that works under the general direction of the Recreation Director.
Duties: This individual will be responsible for developing lesson plans, leading and facilitating recreational activities, ensuring the safety, enjoyment, and participation of all attendees; supervising staff, volunteers, and participants during programs and events; and ensuring all programs align with the department’s goals and objectives, and all other duties as assigned.

Recommended Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in recreation management or related field and working knowledge and experience in recreation/community programming in a public setting, or any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience; Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively and to work in a fast paced environment; Knowledge of spreadsheet, database, word processing software, social media, and experience in MyRec.com registration software(desired); Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed; CPR/First Aid Certified or willingness to be certified upon hiring; Art/ceramics related program development and execution; Physical strength, stamina, and agility to participate in one day to multi day outdoor/indoor activities–subject to inclement weather and temperatures;
Starting Salary: $29-$32/Hr
