Holliston (15,000 pop.), is seeking an experienced manager with superior financial, communication, and community engagement skills interested in a long-term engagement to serve as Town Manager. Only three people have held the position in the last 40 years demonstrating the stability of the position. The Town Manager will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects related to downtown revitalization, governance, community and economic development, MBTA Communities Act, a Master Plan update, and major infrastructure projects. Holliston is a growing and increasingly diverse suburban-rural community in the MetroWest area of Massachusetts with easy access to I-495 and Routes 16/126. Holliston has Open Town Meeting and a three-member Select Board. The town recently approved changing to a Town Manager from a Town Administrator. Holliston has an AAA rating and FY25 budget of $74M. Preferred candidates will have an advanced degree, preferably in public administration or a related field as well as experience as a Town Manager/Administrator or Assistant Town Manager/Administrator. Candidates must have superior financial acumen, including municipal budgeting, and understanding of municipal governance, along with exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Annual salary: $200K+/- DOQ. AA/EOE.
