Salary Range: $100,000 – $110,000/DOQ

The town of Hamilton seeks an experienced Director of Assessing to oversee property valuations and assessments for all parcels in town. This position ensures compliance with the Massachusetts Department of Revenue standards, supervises staff, manages GIS and CAMA systems, and supports the town’s financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage property assessments and oversee staff.
• Prepare tax rate certification and property valuation reports.
• Ensure accuracy of GIS maps and property tax data.
• Conduct appraisals and represent the town at tax hearings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum five years of property appraisal experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and MAAO designation required.
