Who is a member?
Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
Applicants must have current Massachusetts civil service status and have completed a full-time MPTC approved police academy. Officers need to be POST certified, have an active driver’s license, a LTC, and police experience. Applicants will be required to pass a comprehensive background investigation, oral interview, and medical examinations. Officers must be eligible for a lateral transfer from their current department.
