The Public Safety Telecommunicator plays a critical role in emergency response and is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency calls and providing critical, life-saving assistance to citizens requesting police or fire, and to the response units dispatched to handle the situation. For calls requiring fire, medical or police response, professionally dispatches the appropriate agency to the scene, maintaining proper computer records of all units dispatched.
