Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
The town of Winchendon is seeking a Building Commissioner for a 32 hour per week position to provide professional, technical and inspectional work related to the enforcement and interpretation of the Massachusetts building code, the zoning bylaw and other applicable codes relating to building construction and design. Must meet or exceed requirements pursuant to MGL C. 143 Section 3 and 780 CMR including: minimum five years’ direct construction supervision, state certified as building commissioner or local inspector, and construction supervisors license. Starting salary is $75,000-$85,000. The current Commissioner has also provided services for the neighboring town of Royalston. While not required for our next Commissioner, we would like to continue that arrangement.
