The town of Blackstone is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Activities/Nutrition Coordinator. This is a full-time position for 33.5 hours per week with an excellent benefit package.

Under the general supervision of the Council on Aging Director, the Activities/Nutrition Coordinator will implement the mission, vision, and values of the Council on Aging. The Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating onsite nutrition programs, fitness activities, and social events for seniors. The role includes overseeing meal distribution, maintaining participant engagement, and ensuring the success of various senior programs and activities.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and possess strong customer service skills. Required certifications include CPR, state-mandated Department of Transportation van driver training, and a valid driver’s license and Serve Safe certification. The candidate should have experience working with the elderly, coordinating programs or events, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), social media, and graphic design. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently, and a positive, professional demeanor are essential for this role.

Salary range: pay is determined by union steps and ranges from $17.57 to $21.03 based on education and experience in accordance with the union contract.
