Commissioner of Inspectional Services

The city of Worcester seeks qualified applicants for the Commissioner of Inspectional Services to lead the Inspectional Services Department. Under the administrative direction of the City Manager, the Commissioner of Inspectional Services is a cabinet-level position, responsible for the health, safety and environmental stability of the city’s business, school, and residential community. The Commissioner is responsible for the direction, coordination, and development of staff engaged in building code inspection, enforcement, and permitting for all the divisions within the department, among other responsibilities.

Salary range: $132,000-$156,000 annually, full-time, exempt, with an excellent benefits package.
