The Housing Coordinator will coordinate, facilitate, and promote activities, projects and programs that address the need for adequate and affordable housing for low and moderate income, senior, veteran, and disabled populations and to foster workforce housing within the town of Sturbridge. This includes providing staff support to the Affordable Housing Trust and administering the town’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund, working to implement the Housing Production Plan and to update that as needed, collaborating and coordinating with all applicable municipal departments, and working with nonprofit and for-profit housing entities in developing all possible pathways to expanding affordable housing to meet the needs of the community. This position reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of, the Town Planner, but functions independently.

The successful candidate will have three years of experience in housing, government administration, or related field; bachelor’s degree in government, business, or other related field preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in housing/affordable housing preferred.

Anticipated starting salary is $30 to $35 per hour depending upon experience. The position is part time non-benefited with an expected schedule of 10-15 hours per week.
